FALLY IPUPA RHUMBA VIDEO MIX - DJ ROYAL D
Fally Ipupa N'simba, popularly known as Fally Ipupa aka "DiCaprio" aka "La Merveille", is a prolific Congolese singer, songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, guitarist, and producer. He is often referred to as the "Prince of Rumba". He is noted for his tenor vocals as well as his blend of contemporary and traditional Congolese music genres, including Congolese Rumba, Soukous, and Ndombolo. Fally Ipupa was born on December 14th, 1977, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
At a very young age, he was immersed in music, which was an inherent part of his family. He began singing by participating in a religious choir, despite a stutter which was not always easy for him to manage. Fally Ipupa joined several groups, before being spotted by the great Congolese singer Koffi Olomidé. Koffi invited Fally Ipupa to join his Quartier Latin group. For seven years, he participated in the group and released no less than six albums with the group.
Fally notably created several hits with Koffi, among them "Eternellement" on "Force de Frappe" in 2001 and "Ko ko ko ko" on "Affaire d'Etat" which got him being promoted to the position of conductor despite his young age. In 2006, debuting his solo career, he delivered his first solo album "Droit Chemin" that sold over 100,000 copies with hits like "Droit Chemin", "Liputa" and "Kidiamfuka".
Between 2006 and 2013, Fally Ipupa won tremendously. His second and third albums, “Arsenal de belles Mélodies” (2009) and “Power ''Kosa Leka''” (2013), was highly acclaimed. On the first, he collaborated in particular with ex G-Unit R&B singer Olivia Longott, for the single “Chaise Electrique”. The album was a huge star in Africa and contributed even more to the success of Fally Ipupa. His album "Arsenal de belles melodies (A2BM)" went platinum with more than a million copies sold in 2009.
In 2007, he won Best Male Artist at the Cesaire Awards and Best Artist or Group from Central Africa at the Kora Awards. In 2010, Fally Ipupa won the MTV Africa Music Awards 2010 in the Best Video category (for Sexy Dance), and the best francophone artist. On June 11, 2011, he participated in the African Night at Stade de France with other renowned African stars. Fally was nominated for the 2018 MTV EMAs BEST AFRICAN ACT Category Nominees alongside top African pop artists like Davido and Tiwa Savage.
Ever since "Droit Chemin", Fally surfed through a relatively successful path. His releases usually receive positive criticisms and he multiplies collaboration with other artists, mostly international ones. With his silky smooth voice, he has conquered the international music scene and reached the hearts of many with his music blend of various styles, such as Rhumba, Soukous, Champeta, Ndombolo, Pop and R&B.
With Fally's smooth soulful voice, an impeccable sense for style and dance moves that will have the opposite sex swarming, I must say; the "Prince of Rumba" is a very talented, music genious who is here to stay.
